Both of our kids have been suffering from some pretty bad colds this past week. Runny noses, fevers and annoying coughs. The past two nights were especially rough for Katie. The poor girl was up all night. Her nose was all stuffed, she had a high fever, a sore throat and she kept grabbing and pulling on her ears. So this morning I took her to our family doctor. Turns out that on top of this crappy cold, Katie also has a throat infection (similar to strep), So she is on some heavy duty antibiotics for the next 10 days.
After dinner Katie was laying on the living room floor playing while I was unloading the dishwasher in the kitchen. Suddenly I realized it was awfully quiet, and when I peaked over the counter to check on her, this is how I found her.... I guess she was catching up on some much needed sleep!

Aww!! Poor Katie. Hope the antibiotics work quickly and effectively! I bet Mommy is a bit short on sleep too, huh?

I hope both kids feel better soon! Hopefully you and mark don't get sick before your trip!
