Calaway Park

Yesterday afternoon my mom and I took the kids to Calaway Park for the first time. I hadn't been to Calaway Park since grade 9 - and it was just as I remembered it! Although they do have many more little kid rides now than they did back then.

It was a great night to go too! There was virtually no one else there. We never once had to wait in line for any of the rides. It rained for the first 5 minutes we were there (but we were under the cover of the bumper cars the whole time) and then the sun came out for the rest of the night!

First ride of the night, the bumper cars! Logan LOVED the bumper cars! (Although the first time he basically spun around in circles.) He went on them 3 times yesterday!

Katie LOVED going on all the rides too! I had half expected her to be afraid of most of them. But even the fastest, spinniest rides she loved!

Logan was upset that he got stuck with a purple airplane. He had wanted a green one, but wasn't fast enough and all the big boys beat him to it.

Logan INSISTED he HAD to go on this ride. It's a mini version of the Stampede's drop of doom. He was by far the smallest kid on the ride, but he LOVED it!!

I made Grandma go on a lot of the rides with the kids so I "could take pictures".

I have a feeling our season's passes will get a LOT of use this year!!

Totally fun! Brings back memories of junior high for sure! Glad the kids had a great time! We should totally go together over the summer!

It looks like Grandma might need to hang back and "take pictures" next time! It really looked as if your kids had a blast!
