3 Months

Life is so much easier at three months than it was before!! Booger (as we like to call him) is a MUCH easier baby now! He no longer screams just for the sake of screaming. He only cries when he's hungry or when he's tired... two very easy things to fix!

He also follows a pretty set schedule now:

  • Wake up between 8:00 and 9:00 and have breakfast. We usually go for a 1/2 hour walk with Dukie after we've eaten.
  • Nap from 10:00 - 11:30 or 12:00 then have lunch.
  • We usually have a bath around 12:30 or 1:00... which he LOVES!! He kicks and kicks his legs and squaks and squeals through the entire thing!
  • Afternoon Nap from 2:00 - 3:30 or 4:00 (this nap's length varies the most depending on what we did in the afternoon... for example, if it was a pretty low key day and we just stayed at home, it'll be much shorter than if we spent the afternoon running around doing errands.) Then an afternoon snack.
  • Logan will play in his swing or excersaucer while I make dinner... depending on how he slept earlier in the day he might go down for another short nap. But usually he's pretty content and stays awake.
  • Logan will "watch" some TV with Mark and I in the evening. (All of a sudden Booger has discovered the TV. He sits there and stares at it wide eyed. Mark and I doubt this is good for him... so we try to limit how long he stares at the "boob toob".)
  • He'll have a bed time snack around 8:00pm and then will go to bed.
  • Depending on how sound he's been sleeping, I'll either top him off before I go to bed between 10:30-11:00 or I'll go to bed and see how long he goes. The longest stretch we've had lately is only 6 hours. And for the past couple of nights Logan has been waking up every two hours and crying. I let him cry a bit and hope he falls back asleep, but normally either Mark or I will end up going in his room to pop his soother back in. He'll then normally go back to sleep for another hour or two.

Yesterday we went to the clinic to have his 2 month immunizations done (we're a little behind schedule!!) He weighs 15 (almost 16) pounds and measured 25 and a bit inches long. He was in the 90th percentile for both his weight and height. Booger fell asleep on my lap while the nurse did my flu shot and explained each of Logan's needles. He cried when injected with each shot, but only opened his eyes long enough to give the nurse a dirty, dirty look and then fell right back asleep (where as all the other babies were screaming bloody murder!!) Everyone was very impressed with how tough he was!! But boy was he cranky for the rest of the day!!! Luckily today he is in a MUCH better mood!

Today we also went and saw Dr. Bennion for Logan's 3 month check up. Again, almost 16 pounds and on the 90th percentile for both weight and height. She checked him all out and he's good to go until his 6 month check up.

And I thought I would end with a picture Kristina took of Logan and Cameron. Although they are four months apart, they are almost the same size!!

Logan is such a sweetie! I think we figured out that Mark was about the same size at 3 months (he was a sweetie too!)
