FHL Champs 2008

Tonight Logan and I bundled up in our warmest clothes and went to cheer on Mark in his final hockey game of the 2007/2008 season. Usually Mark's games are at 11:15pm on the weekends, so Logan and I dont get to go and cheer him on very often. So we had a lot of fun watching daddy play. Logan sat so contently in his stroller and just watched the guys skate back and forth.

Mark's team, the Stars, had played the Gators in the first game of the series on Monday already. They won that game 5-1, so they were pretty confident that they were going to win tonight. The first two periods were actually pretty close though with the score being 2-2. However, in the third period the Stars totally stepped it up and won the game 5-2. It was very exciting and I was very proud of how Mark played.

Logan, although he is an avid hockey fan, got pretty tuckered out half way through the game. And even though Grandma and Grandpa were there to keep him company, he fell sound asleep.

Now that daddy is done hockey for the season, Logan says its time to break out the golf clubs!!

Weekend in BC

This weekend we headed out west to Salmon Arm for the weekend with my family. We went to visit my dad's cousins, Dale & Sophie. They recently moved their farm from Abbotsford to Armstrong, so we went to check out the new place. Their farming operation was very impressive (I think Brian enjoyed the tour the most). We spent over 4 hours out in the barns taking a tour, watching them milk and feeding the calves. Logan was in sensory overload. He loved the little calves.

The rest of the weekend was spent golfing (for the boys) and shopping (for the girls - although, there really isnt a lot of shops in Salmon Arm!). We also made sure to spend time in the hotel's pool. They had a two storey waterslide that was a lot of fun! We all went down once or twice (breaking every pool rule while we were at it!)

Templeton

Logan and I spent yesterday morning shopping with my mom. We went first to Costco to buy a few necessities - but you know how that always goes. You can't walk into Costco without it turning into a day trip, you just can't. So we were in Costco for quite a while. By the time we got to Ikea, Logan was getting a little impatient with the shopping trip. So to keep him quiet and happy, we grabbed a stuffed animal from the shelf for him to play with only while we were in the store. And it just so happened to be a pretty ugly looking rat. It's so ugly, it's actually kinda cute. Well, the next thing we knew, Logan had the rat's entire tail shoved so far in his mouth he was gagging! He had slobbered all over the rat - it was SOAKED! There was no way we could put this mangy looking rat back on the shelf for someone else to buy. So, Logan got to bring Templeton home. He absolutely LOVES this rat. This morning he sat sucking on its tail watching Little Einsteins for a good 45 minutes.

Logan was in a very good mood this morning despite being up until 10:30 last night watching hockey at Uncle TJ and Auntie Kelly's house. He was being super cute and I just couldn't resist snapping a few pictures of him. The last one is my favorite. I'm really mad at myself for cutting off half of his head.. Logan always makes that face when he's really goofy.
