Praise You in this Storm - Casting Crowns

I was sure by now
God, You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say "Amen", and it's still raining

As the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with You"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away

CHORUS

I'll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
Every tear I've cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry
You raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can't find You

As the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with You"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away

CHORUS

I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The Maker of Heaven and Earth
(repeat)

CHORUS

Though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

Two Months

We went for Katie's two month check up/immunizations the other day. She now weighs about 11 and a half pounds. She is in the 50th percentile for height and 75th for weight. She is starting to have longer "happy times".... but for the most part, she is still a screamer. Mark and I often joke that she's either sleeping, eating or crying. But thankfully we're on a schedule, so at least I know when to expect the screaming. I'm hoping she soon outgrows this cholicy stage... otherwise we wont have any friends left!! :)

Riley Park

Seeing as how today is Logan's 2nd birthday, we decided to take Logan to do one of his favorite activities.... SWIMMING! After supper Mom and I took Logan to Riley Park. (Mark is still at work -> what a long day for him). Logan had the time of his life! He dove right into the pool. He swam nonstop until he was blue and couldn't stop trembling. (Although it was still 27 degrees outside and the pool was decently warm!) Logan has no fear of water. He layed right down in it, rolled around in it, stuck his face/head right under and even attempted the breast stroke (although he was too shallow, so his belly kept him anchored to the bottom of the pool). The only thing that would have made tonight more fun for him would be a couple of friends to play with - and daddy and grandpa. We will definately be making this a frequent outing this summer!!

Mt. Kidd

This weekend was our annual camping/golf trip out in Kananaskis. We went to Mt. Kidd with a bunch of family and friends like we've been doing for the past 9-10 years. And again, as usual, we had an EXCELLENT time. The weather was nice and warm. The guys got in two rounds of golf (Mark shot a 98 and then a 97) the kids swam in the pool and played at the park and I got to start and finish an entire book! (Haven't had the time to do that in a while!!) It was nice to visit with everyone and Logan had a blast playing outside and with all the little blonde children running around. We also celebrated Logan's 2nd birthday a few days early (his birthday is on the 21st). I had made cupcakes so we had them after supper with Big Grandpa, Big Grandma and the Mol Family. We had such a great time it sucked having to pack up and come home. I told Mark that next year we're staying for an entire week!

(The inside of our trailer for those of you who haven't seen it... I forgot to take a picture of the outside.)

(Playing at the park... the mountains in the background are just so breathtaking... its sad that my camera doesn't do it justice!)

(Logan's ride... Mark can't wait to get him a real one)

(Swimming in the pool)

Happy 2nd Birthday Logan!
