Swim Time!

I put these pictures up on facebook, but thought they were so cute, I wanted to put them here as well! Logan and Katie love swimming in our little blow up pool. They fight over space because both of them want to kick and splash. I got the goggles at Walmart (2 for $1.98!). Logan loves wearing his but Katie isn't really a fan of hers.

Trampoline

For days Logan has been begging me to let him go play outside on the trampoline, but its been raining pretty solid. Finally this morning he got a "yes" to his pleading. He absolutely LOVES jumping on the trampoline. Katie really likes it too. Although, Logan does get a little wild sometimes so she either has to come off so he can "jump high" or he has to do little jumps.

One of Logan's favorite things to do on the trampoline is "flips". That's Logan's word for somersaults. He tries to be as adventurous and outgoing as daddy is on the trampoline, but he's still learning.

Happy 1st Birthday Katie!

We celebrated Katie's 1st Birthday a couple weekends ago out at the acreage. We invited all our family and friends to join us for a bbq and birthday cake. Even though the weather wasn't the greatest, we still had a lot of fun playting ladder golf, extreme bocci ball and sitting around the camp fire.

Katie's New Big Girl Hair

Katie needed a new big girl hairstyle to match her new big girl attitude.

It seems like Katie has grown up so much over night. She is no longer eating baby food - just regular finger foods cut up nice and small so she can feed herself. She's starting to point to the right things when asked "Where's your eyes... where's your ears.." She's starting to pull herself up on our couch and has learnt to sit up from laying. And most importantly, Katie's newest big girl act is CRAWLING!!

I took a video of her cruising around our living room, but I guess its too big of a file, because it won't load. She is still trying to grasp the concept, and somedays she's better at it than others, but she is definately crawling!! YAY!! (And she started on the DAY the lady from the Early Intervention team from the Children's called to set up an appointment - next Wednesday morning). She no longer seems like a little baby, but is on her way to toddler-hood.

Mark and I are so excited that she's finally reached this milestone, but Logan and Duke sure aren't! Poor Logan's toys are no longer safe and he's constantly yelling now "No Katie! Don't touch! MOM!! Katie's bugging me!!" And Duke has learned to stay upstairs where Katie can't climb on him and pull his hair.
